This vintage-style comb is inspired by the poem “Parting at Changgan," written by famous Chinese poet Li Bai in the eighth century. As in Ezra Pound’s famous translation,
“You came by on bamboo stilts, playing horse,
You walked about my seat, playing with blue plums.”
The design of horse, bamboo and plums on both sides of this comb implies "childhood sweethearts" or "a couple who grew up as childhood friends." With its small size, this will be a cute artifact as well as a great travel comb.
Green sandalwood — known botanically as Maracaibo lignum vitae — is a very durable South American Hardwood. Its naturally porous surface gently absorbs and distributes hair oils as you comb, while its subtle aromatic fragrance makes every grooming session a sensory ritual. Anti-static, no-snag, and built to last. (Caution: this wood is highly susceptible to heat and the color tends to change upon exposure to sun light, please keep in cool place)
